A new Federal Tourism Tax has been implemented by the Malaysian Government which takes effect on September 1st, 2017.
This tax is equivalent RM10.00 net per room per night. All international tourists to Malaysia are required to pay this tax and will be collected by the hotel.
Malaysian Nationals and Permanent Residents who hold a MyPR Card are EXEMPT from the Federal Tourism Tax and can disregard this notice.
